Günter Schmid

Günter advises leading gaming companies and investors on strategy, mergers and acquisition and compliance management. He is also a founder of Kerberos Compliance-Managementsysteme GmbH, a leading provider of AML-services.

Günter held various management positions in the gaming industry, including CFO at bwin interactive entertainment AG, at the time a worldwide leading online gaming operator. Prior to that Günter has worked for Apax Partners as investment manager and McKinsey & Company as management consultant.

Günter graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1994 as Doctor of Philosophy and from TU München in 1991 as Diplom-Chemiker. He was Feodor-Lynen Postdoctoral Fellow of the Humboldt Foundation at the University of California, Berkeley and also A.D. Little Research Fellow at MIT. Günter currently serves on the Boards of Olympic Entertainment Group AS (from 2018), OSY Technologies S.à.r.l., Deutscher Sportwettenverband e.V. (from 2017), Deutscher Online Casinoverband e.V. (from 2017) and has served on the Boards of companies in the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry.
