Glyn Barker

Glyn has extensive experience as a business leader and a trusted adviser to FTSE100 companies and private entrepreneurial businesses on a wide variety of corporate and finance issues. He possesses a deep understanding of accounting and regulatory issues together with comprehensive transactional and financial services experience.

Currently, Glyn is Chairman of Irwin Mitchell (law firm), Senior Independent Director of Aviva PLC (insurance), Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of Berkeley Group Holdings plc (construction) and a non executive director of Transocean Limited (offshore drilling). Glyn previously held a number of senior positions during his 35-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), including Vice Chairman, UK and Managing Partner. He built PwC’s private-equity focused Transactions Services business. He was also responsible for PwC’s strategy and business development for the geographic areas of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.

Glyn is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a Bachelor of Science degree (First Class Hons) in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Bristol.
