Bastian Lueken

Prior to founding Novalpina, from 2011 to 2017, Bastian led the European investment business at Platinum Equity, a global private equity firm, where, amongst a number of other responsibilities, he led the acquisitions of Exterion Media, a large out-of-home advertising company based in the UK, and Worldwide Flight Services, one of the world’s largest independent air cargo handlers created through the acquisitions of French-based WFS, and US-based, Consolidated Aviation Services. Prior to that, Bastian was a member of TPG’s European investment team where he completed and was involved in overseeing investments in the consumer goods, retail, technology and telecoms sectors across a number of European countries. Prior to TPG, Bastian worked in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructurings department of Morgan Stanley in London.

Bastian holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main where he graduated summa cum laude. He also holds a Maitrise de Sciences de Gestion from Paris IX Dauphine University.
